National Public Health Week: April 2 - 8, 2018

Send a message to your members of Congress on a variety of current public health issues.

Your voice will make a difference in the policymaking process. Get involved and help shape the national debate on public health issues!

Support the Clean Power Plan

The Clean Power Plan is projected to prevent 90,000 asthma attacks, 300,000 missed work and school days, and 3,600 premature deaths annually by 2030. Repealing these standards only means more sick kids, more expensive hospital visits, and thousands of premature deaths that could be prevented.

Visit the Alliance for Nurses for Health Environments website (https://envirn.org/)  now to submit a comment to the EPA in support of the lifesaving standards in the Clean Power Plan that protect our health, limit carbon pollution from existing power plants, and encourage a transition to clean energy.

The deadline to comment is April 26th, 2018.

Stop DTE Energy’s $1 Billion Gas Plant in Michigan

Michigan is ready to lead with clean energy to save on power bills, create local jobs, and protect community health.  So why is DTE Energy planning to waste $1 billion to move Michigan backwards with a fossil fuel plant?

If you believe Michigan should invest in clean energy, act now to #PowerUpMI: Tell DTE Energy NO to a new gas plant. DTE needs to hear from you by March 15.
